100 John Street, a rental building which also hosts office space, and is one of the areas more affordable apartment buildings where renters can snag apartments for as little as $800 per person per month in a Flex 3 share, is staring at a foreclosure.
The building, owned by developer Monian, apparently defaulted on a $93 Million mortgage loan issued by LNR Partners.
Beekman Towers, the Frank Gehry building in the FiDi, is now open for business! People who had registered on their website started receiving emails over the weekend alerting them of the opening and also inviting them to be prepared to come down and tour the building – and rent! So, here’s the scoop: The building has 903 total apartments that start on the seventh floor, and over 200 layouts to choose from. Rents start at $2,630 for studios, $3,580 for one-bedrooms and $5,945 for two-bedrooms.
