Setai Condos on 40 Broad Street adjacent to the NYSE will no longer have a Marquee chef serving them complimentary breakfast every day.
Shaun Hergatt, an Aussie native, who built a reputation as a Michelin chef with the aptly named SHO restaurant, and who worked tirelessly to promote the Financial District as a place where discerning diners could venture out for a good quality meal and wine, has announced his departure.
He leaves within a few weeks. His association with Asher Zamir, the main investor in SHO, is said to have ended amicably. He is said to be pursuing another venture with new partners.
Mr Zamir has reportedly said that he plans to hire a new chef and change the name of the restaurant.
